  1. I'll download it tomorrow and give it a go, thanks for your input
  2. Hi everyone, I've recently got a new laptop with windows 8, i was just wondering if anyone else is having problems with registax 6, I haven't been able to make any new videos to stack but I've been trying old ones and it gets to about 70% then just gives up on every one of them, getting very frustrating, I've even tried downloading registax 5 but that won't even load the videos, it keeps saying codec problem so not sure what to do? Any help would be appreciated

  4. Here is my attempt without a red filter, it was a bit cloudy so hoping to get out again when it's clear I did manage to get the moon and Jupiter as well
  5. Been out most of the evening, think I have some good shots of Jupiter, Mars and the Moon, will post pictures when I've stacked them
  6. Yes still using the Neximage camera, on the next clear night I'll take your advise and leave the filter off, thanks for your advise
  7. Thanks for your comments, I'm using a red filter as I've heard that's the best one for viewing Mars, I find it really hard to stack and make it clearer using registax 5 and 6, I also have photoshop which isn't an easy programme either
  8. Hi here is my first attempt if Mars
  9. Good idea with the peanut butter lid I have never thought of that one, looks like I'm going to the supermarket tomorrow, Thanks James
  10. Hi James, how did you manage to get your picture so clear? I have been trying to use photoshop but can't get it anywhere near as clear as yours.
  11. Hi all, Many thanks for your kind comments the scope I am using is a Celestron 127SLT and the camera is the neximage 5mp
  12. Hi all This is my first ever attempt of photographing Saturn I was quite pleased with the results, until I looked at other people's now I'm a bit disappointed
  13. I think it's an excellent scope, the only bad point is the mount isn't as sturdy as I would like it to be but apart from the its very good
