  1. Here are the gloves I use while imaging when it's cold. They are very warm and you can grip any thing with them easily. I got them from Go Out Doors. Cheers, Justyn
  2. Clouds, Star link. Insecurity lights and LP
  3. I can quite justifiably state that my visit to Pencelli would be a work related exercise, based on educational activities.
  4. Very interesting program. Still not convinced myself than the spectroscopic signature for Phosphine from the is from a biological source, but it would be well worth investigating further to see if it is from some sort of abiotic origin. Either way the findings of future studies will give further insights in to one of are closests planetary neighbors.
  5. I found this article rather interesting https://www.cnet.com/news/the-mysterious-radio-burst-from-space-is-back-right-on-schedule/?fbclid=IwAR2GJ8H0xlTx48xq2d6zsBa_Hh09u1bCpxg_5SRAD1WkvmpQ5HXutdUtCUs Maybe this is going to the announcement which is delaying the S@N tv program until Monday 14th Sept.
  6. Thanks Helen. I have just downloaded the Andriod version. It looks like a lot of fun.
  7. Tony, I booked my usual pitch this morning!!!! Had a long chat on the phone with one of the son's. In March, I was the last person to leave the site before lock down. Pitch 13 has been booked by me.
  8. I agree with a number of comments above. It was one of the best Horizon programs I have ever seen. I am going to watch it again on the iplayer.
  9. That footage is incredible!
  10. This is a fantastic idea. Echoing Xsunaribers point above, please record the sessions so those who can not make it can catch up later.
  11. Here is the link to the image taken in Hawaii https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-52587488
  12. Globular clusters are quite hard to image without over exposing the core. Well done Steve.
  13. Beautiful clear skies here last night!!!!b Got some imaging done!
  14. Thanks for you and Cath coming to see me. What a lovely surprise. Let's hope thing are better for next years star party.
  15. PS I love the family that run this campsite. I am the only astronomer here at the moment, there are a few other campers, yet they have still kept all the lights off in the Oaks section of the campsite.!!!!!!!
  16. I have seen stars tonight but only in gaps in the clouds, pretty murky as well. There. was a 2 to 3 hour clear window forecast earlier but that as been revised to mostly cloudy. The good news is that Saturday and Sunday nights are looking great!
  17. I would be very happy to spend a few days/weeks in 'Lock down' at Pencilli campsite astro-imaging, rather be out in the open as opposed to being stuck inside or being trapped in a large city!
  18. I am turning up! The virus does not live long in the open air as UV disrupts its lipid coating.
  19. I don't think I could even get either my mount or scope into that side car!!!!
  20. Hi Tich, Saw this video and thought of you at star parties with your fold away caravan!!!!! 😀
  21. I have just left a message on the campsites phone answering machine to book my usual pitch. Looking forward to it again. Justyn
