Great!! Now I'm almost out of astro gear to fund house purchase, and got my first mortgage rejected. I'm over the moon...the dark side of the moon more like it :)

Tried to find m51 tonight using my Celestine 5se, used the go-to but no luck. Everything else was found easy Jupiter, Polaris etc so I'm guessing there's too much light pollution to see it with a 5" scope??

Light pollution at new house is killing astro for me

Transparency this evening wasn't up to much but the seeing was phenomenal. 250x on Jupiter, Saturn and Mars and still not a shimmer or wobble. Just gone 5am and I've got work in a few hours! Oh well :-)

In these past 3/4 days at Les Granges I've already had 11 hours observing, most with a 20" dob - stunning skies. Need I say more? :D

Long session this evening. Packed up at 6pm and have just arrived home at 2.30am Absoluetly exhausted but buzzing from a nice dark site session.

Warm evening out, around 16ºC. Really quite peaceful sitting under the ghostly light of a passing Jupiter and Moon.
