  1. I ended up 3D printing an adapter - works perfectly for me with a QHY5L-ii camera - focus is achieved by rotating the objective.
  2. Do you guide through WiFi as well then? I have an AZ GTi on order, so tempted to try EQ mode with my Meg72 rather than lugging out my HEQ5 all the time.
  3. I love these set ups with the 72mm and AZ GTi - what length subs do you manage with it?
  4. Just checked - that is how I have soldered it up as - thanks for confirming.
  5. We had a bit of a chat around diodes in a separate thread last month so to keep everything in one place (as this is a really useful thread for someone putting this together) I’ll stick a link below.
  6. Thanks Robert - the other issue with the PDF was the arrangement of the capacitors - I have copied what James did earlier by studying his pictures - the pdf doesn’t differentiate which capacitor goes where cheers
  7. Getting there now - forgot how much I enjoy soldering, very good for the soul. Special mention to @fozzybear who kindly sent me the resistors which saved me having to order in a bunch that I would never use again.
  8. It did seem a bit weird - I have some spst already so was going to utilise them as couldn’t fathom why you would need on-off-on. The only thing I could think off was it’s a typo and they should be momentary, but then I believe the override is either on or off and not timed. Will go ahead with what I have and see if it works cheers
  9. Have finally started my build - question on the toggle switches. The BoM calls for 3 pin SPDT switches, but the jumpers are only 2 pin. how are these supposed to be wired? cheers
  10. I had this last night too - was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what had happened Then realised when I had switched off the lights in the shed I had also cut the power to the scope! Lesson learnt - check the obvious things first!
  11. Thanks, I was beginning to suspect this as it warms up very quickly. Astoundingly it arrived this morning and I have clear skies here this evening so will hopefully get first light with it on its first day! Be interesting to see how it compares to my unmodified 600d
  12. Free Starlight Xpress CCD from ABS - was offered as a SX MX7C although after some playing with drivers I’m beginning to think it’s an SXV-M7. Probably colour. I know the gifter, James is on here so thanks for the camera, and I also know the original owner is also in SGL so they may be able to identify it No idea what the guide camera model is! One issue I have now is the cooler doesn’t seem to be working, that’s probably a driver issue I guess. Regardless, I spent an enjoyable couple of hours getting it running under ASCOM in APT so hopefully will get some shots once these clouds finally clear off.
  13. Thats a really useful table! Exactly what I needed as it was both from battery to box, and then split in box to various different outlets cheers
  14. Just to resurrect a semi-old thread, can anyone please tell me what gauge wire to use for a power distribution box feeding 7no 2.1x5.5mm sockets from a 25amp battery? I always seem to way over spec ta
  15. Material costs may break the bank! PM me your address and I’ll look into shipping Cheers
  16. You mean like one of these? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:972117 If so, i'll print it out for you and send it across Cheers
  17. I have one coming (one day - been a month so far!). Really looking forward to seeing how it performs vs my HEQ5 and EQ5 Going to give some basic imaging a try and use it for my new EEVA setup.
  18. Can confirm now sorted after I installed in a v.3.7.9 virtual environment. v0.3 looks interesting - first picture suggests now support for OSC and image capture? Could you ping it across to me and I’ll give it a try on my Mac now, if only these flies would clear..... Cheers
  19. just tried to install this in Windows and am getting problems with my "Kivy Wheel". Anyone able to assist? Cheers
  20. I have just installed Elementary on my old MacBook Pro and have mixed feelings - it looks and runs great at times but seems very unstable with lots of hangs and crashes. Did a clean install last night as I may have messed a few things up the first time round - will see how it goes today.
  21. You’ve piqued my interest, got any further details? ta
  22. I copied this for my simple 2 channel - works absolutely fine https://www.blackwaterskies.co.uk/2013/05/a-cheap-multi-channel-dew-heater-controller/
  23. Whilst looking for a photo to illustrate this I think I may have found the answer; https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/496083-which-polar-scope-should-fit-my-pseudo-eq5-mount/ Looks like the newer polarscope has a diameter of 24mm so should fit my mount.
  24. I believe originally you could fit a straight through polarscope that went in that collar, but you could also remove that entire section and screw in a replacement - what I have taken out is essentially the same as the new finder fitting, just without the scope in place.
