Anyone watching The Orville? I was pleasantly surprised. Sort of like Star Trek crossed with Red Dwarf.

It's such a shame that few members of Stargazerslounge take part in seti@home. Even the Founder of our team at seti@home appears not to contribute anymore, though he/she seems reluctant to give up control! lol

Why is that very sad?
It's a SGL group, a group that i started some years ago, why would you want to take over a group that you didn't start.
I guess the control comment you made applies even more to you than me. At least i want to maintain control of the group i started and not try to get control of other peoples groups.
Quite sad really, I agree....

My Skyris 274 a £700 camera has decided to packup on me.
I think that this is probably the final straw. I no longer had the time, inclination or funds to carry on with this hobby. -

Just checked and it's within warranty- so all is not lost.
But with every little problem with will to carry on diminishes - all i wanted to do was 30 minutes with the scope to capture some data.... once again I cannot.
So will it be another 6 months before I get a chance? At what point do I admit that I don't do it anymore?

Saw the northern lights last night! A dream come true (although I did have to go to Iceland to see them).

Does this site support animated GIFs as profile pics? I know I saw someone who had one but mine only worked when I uploaded it. Everywhere else it's stuck on frame 1...

That awful gutted feeling you get when you review the data from last night's sesh, to find that somewhere along the line you knocked everything out of focus :(

Aargh, windows update decided to happen just as I was setting my scope up, took 45 minutes. Then firecapture didn't want to work and now clouds. :(
