  1. Life has taught me one thing fella, you cant take it with you so spend it and enjoy your life. My ep case of 4 eyepieces, a paracorr, 2x barlow and two filters is an easy way to spend just over £2k and thats just average these days.
  2. Hi,thanks for the kind comments and support.the blank is about 43mm thick and doesnt have a pregenerated curve as i wanted to do it all.im.planning it to be f3.6 as i dont want to have to use anything above a small step and im only 5'7" and on tiptoes at zenith on my 16" lightbridge!!
  3. looks like i will be sending my second htc one back for replacement as this one now wont connect to the pc as a removable drive and isnt recognised by htc synch!!useless pos!!!!

      crashtestdummy

      Naemeth

I'm thinking of a 24" F/3 myself at some point, at 1.8m focal length I shouldn't ever need steps :D.

  19. expensive month of astrogear and now ive just bought a new phone.hope the car sails through its mot next month or watch the for sale section

  20. gutted at having to pay parcelforce £13.50 to take 5 days to sort out my goods from their leeds office when it only took a week all the way from america and through customs!!atlease my eyepieces should be here tuesday!!

    1. ronin

      ronin

I always specify using FedEx if I can as they handle international shipments all the time and are set up for it. Last thing from them arrived was handed to me then I received a payment request. Had the good in under 2 days in my hand. My experience of Parcel Force has been that they are very poor and if possible best avoided.

    2. crashtestdummy

      crashtestdummy

there wasnt the option or i would have chosen it.another supplier offered it but they didnt have one of the items i wanted.tbh for parcelforce if it does get delivered tomorrow it wont be too bad and USPS are about £15 cheaper than UPS so it wont really cost extra,im just being impatient.

  21. crashtestdummy

    which dob

not used either of the ones you have said but there are a fair few comments on the 400p if you do a search.the orion for me is way overpriced as you could get a 16" manual dob and add the goto function to it for less.i have a 16" lightbridge, not really tested it much but its promising so far but they require a few mods to make them work perfectly.the lightbridge build quality isnt as good as my skywatcher 300p was!!!the 400p by all accounts dwarfs my 16" lightbridge which is itself huge
