I don’t think it’s a scam. You’ll get your binoculars and they’ll probably be ok but it’ll be an almighty pain if they arrive and there is some sort of problem. If they were 500 quid I’d be tempted, but at 750 the saving doesn’t justify the risk. An extra 80 quid isn’t a lot extra to pay to have the peace of mind that comes with a big retailer’s return policy. They’re great binoculars btw.

I have a pair of Canon IS 15x50s which I really love. I've used them almost every day since I got them. I recently got a pair of Olympus 8x21 DPC I that I carry in work bag. They came in useful yesterday for the eclipse with a solar filter from my telescope.
