Many thanks Horatio i was a bit worried about posting it as ive seen other cracking images others have taken but we all got start somewhere i guess,to be honest it brought a smile to my face when i first saw it on the monitor during the first preview exposure, i need help on levels and curves and the histogram i just dont really understand it and its just a case of moving the sliders but it would be nice to know what they actually mean.thanks again for your kind comment.

    My shed observatory

My 8x6 shed observatory, roll off/ flip roof.fully insulated walls and floor, roof.ideally i need to paint the walls darker but that can wait till next year now.
  8. in the photo it shows the old slide of runner on the right which is now taken down, also a piece of timber as a backstop for the roof which is now taken down due to the winch fitted.the felt roof is to be replaced(covered)by a black tile effect roof when i find a cheap supplier.i dont like the felt at all and i cant wait to cover it.
  9. From the album: My shed observatory

going through to the scope room which houses the equinox ed80 pro along with my other astro gear.i now have a new door on with a window in and again thats fully insulated too.the scope roof is a flip design was a slide of but i changed it due to fitted the warm room,it has a winch to lower/raise it i yet to fit a weighted pulley system on the outside but that will come next year now.
  10. From the album: My shed observatory

warm room fully insulated floor to ceiling and completly boarded out with pvc cladding, had a few new alterations added which arnt in the photo but its hell of alot warmer and im glad i built it now.

    8x6 shed observatory

From the album: My shed observatory

my first attempt at building a shed observatory, i wish i built it bigger now but its cosy and i guess its big enough for me,fully insulated walls, floor, roof, complete with internet hook up, 2computers one purely for controlling my scope using starry night pro ,and my other computer for imaging,i decided to insulate cos i wanted spend time in there processing images etc, complete with gas fire, tea maker and tomo be drinks cooler for refreshments :-) yes the walls need painting darker,i bought the 3mm sheeting that colour, they use it to board caravans out and it was cheap and did the job, i probably paint it next year but to be honest it dont really reflect much at night, obviously in the photos and blaring sunlight it bright.maybe i build bigger better one in few years but im pleased so far with it.
  14. fantastic photos there mate, i hope one day i be able learn how to get them results :-)
