Good stuff. The moon is not as easy as it looks even with its size its still a tough target to get spot on. Focus and stability are the key. Nice pic

That should work fine, the moon filter will keep dust off the chip, and if you left the stock glass IR in place under the black lens mounting then your IR Block filter is sorted too. It may be of less quality than screw in types, but still does the same job. visible light and IR light come to focus at slightly different places hence replacing the IR filter to keep things lined up, but I know that several stargazers left the original one in with no problems, guess it depends on the person and what they want from the cam. Great progress though, and the weather wont always be this bad. Regards Jay

Definitely. Can make out individual craters, mare regions and better contrast. My effforts at the moon this month have been disasterous. 1st go it went behind clouds the instant I pointed my scope at it, and the next try I took all my kit and scope outdoors only to get rained on. Did you have your cam sorted out, or have you had to try something different? I always find focus issues without the barlow as my inward travel on the focuser is just a few mm away from crisp sharp images. Your pic looks like whatever it is, it's working. Nice1 Jay
