  2. Very good I see that the moon & Venus was very close together last night Will have to get the scope out .
  3. Hi Dave. I did not realise it had any . It seems to be pretty good . My C8 HD did need doing . Your always frightened that you will make it worse. You learn something every day.
  4. None .It does not have any as it is a Mak. One of the best portable 6"scopes l have used .This was a Impulse buy .
  5. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/offers/offer_ioptron-bosma-6-rumak-maksutov-cassegrain-telescope_219291.html This is what l have been using for the last year. Not a C6 , but l think this is better. Have got loads of use out of this so far .
  6. I know this is not a refactor but this scope is one of my most used. 6" Mac. Way better than my 4" vixen Doublet on the planets which is what l image . Horses for courses . Have done imaging with both these scopes on the CG-5 mount .6" Mac is easier to use.
  7. That has come out very sharp. I think that Jupiter is going to be good this year.
  8. That is a very good shot of the moon. Very hazy here on the south coast. Did U use single shots of the moon stitched together .
  9. Very good for a single shot from a smart phone.
  10. I think the final picture has come out very well. At least U have got something to show for your efforts.
  11. This is my latest scope. Very easy to set up & use. Optics on this are first class. Got it in the offers section in FLO.
  12. Just had this delivered to day from FLO. The ioptron 150 was in there offers section. Very easy to set up use which is what l wanted. Just hope the skies start to clear.
  13. Very good. Loads of detail in that. Great planetary scope the 180.
  14. Hi , very good images U have got there .How do DSO imaging with this camera. I have got the ZWO ASI 185c camera. I use the Sharpcap software. Thanks. Steve.
  15. U might be better off getting something like this. Just a thought. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/dobsonians/skywatcher-skyliner-200p-dobsonian.html
  16. I am afraid U have wasted all that money. All the blurb said it was very good. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/dobsonians/skywatcher-skyliner-200p-dobsonian.html# This is the type of thing that people go for. Double the price U paid , but U can get some serious use out of a scope like this. Just fit for the bin I am afraid.🙄😜
  17. What I do is a planetary align . U have got Venus in the sky @ the moment . That is what I have used. U can use the moon as well.
  18. Very good @ least U have got something to show for your efforts.🥱 Then off to bed.
  19. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/offers/offer_celestron-nexstar-5se_117221.html If your looking for another scope. Always send the handheld back , if it is not that.
  20. The main problem is if you adjust everything @ room temperature & go out on a very cold night. You will find everything tightens , up as I have found out. Trying to adjust everything on a cold night , is not much fun ,but that is what I did on my CG-5 . Worth the effort.
  21. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/moon-neutral-density-filters/astro-essentials-variable-polarising-moon-filter.html I have found this one can help as well especially on Jupiter.
  22. Same here in Peacehaven ,Sussex. No detail @ all.
  23. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/celestron-eyepieces/celestron-luminos-eyepieces.html I bought the 7mm EP. Highly recommended. Under rated this one. Worth every penny.
  24. Jupiter is still there . Got up about 4 , to have a look with the scope. Just about make out the bands. My mate next door , joined me to have a look. First time he had seen Jupiter through a scope. Not a lot to see. Better than nothing.
  25. Same here. Got rid of the C11 & bought the CPC 800 HD. The amount of use I have had out of this scope. So easy to set up use. The optics are so good. Worth the extra dosh.
