  1. Beautiful detail and sharpness!
  2. Looks good for that camera combination!
  3. Here's the Waxing Gibbous from tonight. 10 shots stacked in Registax 5. 1/800 sec, ISO 200. Taken with Sony A300. Processed in Photoshop. I also started Lunar 100 observing tonight! Thanks for looking!
  4. Very nice images, especially for your first try! You will definitely improve with practice.
  5. Thanks, I've never really thought about that but I guess I might give it try.
  6. Here's one of my best moon pictures so far, taken tonight. Single shot, 1/250 sec, ISO 200. Processed in Photoshop. Thanks for looking!
  7. Thanks, I pulled up the curves a lot in Photoshop, so I didn't really get that much.
  8. Here's the 12% Waxing Crescent Moon from tonight. Single shots. Earthshine was ISO 400 0.8 sec exposure and curves adjusted in Photoshop. Plain moon was ISO 400, 1/200 sec. Thanks for looking!
  9. I was out for an hour an a half with good seeing. I saw Saturn, Tethys, Rhea, Dione, and Titan. Then I observed brilliant M13, then M51, M5 (first time), M64 (first time), M57 (first time), and M108.
  10. I got the Cassini Division with my 6 inch Dob for the first time at 150x. I used an 8mm Baader Hyperion. The gap flickered into view during split-second moments of excellent seeing.
  11. I'm on the West coast in the U.S so I got a pretty good view of the transit today. Luckily there were clear skies-not a cloud in sight. Here is a time-lapse and a couple of pictures I got. All photos are 1/1600 sec., ISO 200, Prime Focus. I spent about 3 hours editing these and more in Photoshop afterward. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime event! Time-Lapse "Black Drop" Effect Thick Sulfuric Atmosphere 5:40pm Thanks for looking!
  12. I changed the image size on my DSLR to large, and I think that helped the image a lot. Single shot prime focus, 1/320 sec, ISO 200. Processed in PS. Definitely one of my best shots so far. Thanks for looking!
  13. Wow! Very nice focal shot, especially with the aperture!
  14. You can download the free program GIMP, and look up tutorials.
  15. Very nice and great focus! Have you tried desaturating it to remove the blue tinge and adjusting curves/levels? Otherwise this is a nice, detailed picture.
