  1. Thanks. I tried updating as Wornish suggested but still the same thing. Done a normal integration and it worked but looked a mess. So like you say it must be some dodgy frames. Went through Deep Sky Stacker no issues.
  2. It's saying all the frames. Just a single image of the Elephant Trunk Nebula taken over 8 hrs.
  3. Hi, can anyone explain what's causing this error message. Trying to process 76 lights and a master dark but keep getting star registration failure. I've increased the star detection threshold but still happens. Never had it with any of my images before.
  4. Got my 1st astro camera last week, a Zwo Asi 533MC Pro OSC and took it out for 1st light on Saturday night. I went to a (dark site, nothing's dark at the minute) Can't get this from my home and the dark site has a nice flat horizon. Anyway this is just 6 x 5 minute subs cooled to - 10c and darks to match. No flats. Love this camera.
  5. I'm on the £9.98 subscription but just started using Astro Pixel Processor to stack by images and it also has decent processing tools so I might ditch PS and use Gimp for finishing off. Will purchase Pixinsight one day.
  6. Paid for and downloaded Annie's Astro Actions last night and had a quick process of my Rosette Nebula, the star reduction tool definitely works! Thanks.
  7. Thank you, I'll have a look at Annie's Astro Actions 👍🏻
  8. Hi, Has anyone got any good guides or plug-ins for reducing the number of stars in a star field using PS? I imaged the Rosette Nebula the other night but find the number of stars distracting from the Nebula. Thanks.
  9. Them drawings make no sense to me. So if the Canon t mount is 11 mm, should the Flattener be set to 12.9mm or 13.9mm with the filter in?
  10. Hi yes, I have a Svbony CLS filter in. So adjust to 13.9mm?
  11. I have a William Optics Z61 with the Flat 61A adjustable Flattener. I took an image of the Horsehead Nebula and noticed there was a bit of coma in the corners. I have it set to 12.9mm as instructed on the WO website. I am using a Canon 6d with it. Would the 12.9mm be correct or will it be more or less?
  12. Enjoyed the show today. Big thanks to Rob @FLOfor belt modding my HEQ5 Pro. Only money I spent today was a tea for my dad and some chips for me. Some fantastic kit on display.
  13. I was being cheeky and seeing if there was a discount on the kit as well as free fitting 😬 I brought my HEQ5 Pro off you about a month ago.
  14. Tempted with this. Will there be a discount on the Rowan kit?
  15. Got these today. 50 velcro cable ties for a bit of cable management, a micro USB for my Canon 6d and a 2.1mm right angle extension cable for my HEQ5 Pro. Can't understand why Skywatcher don't make this connection standard instead of the straight plug so the weight of the PSU is pulling on the plug 🤔
  16. 10m 4-port USB Hub and a Lynx Astro EQDIR cable so I can image with my HEQ5 Pro in the house with my laptop. Beats sitting outside freezing! 🥶
  17. Wow 0.5! That is good. I think tonight is the night it's finally all come together. I'm currently shouting M31 at 3 min subs with no trailing hurrah! PHD2 is currently showing 1.34. Can live with that. Look forward to seeing your results.
  18. Very interested in this. I have the same setup but on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer. I had no end of trouble last night. Couldn't get my guidescope scope focused until late, star trailing even on short exposures. Going to give it another go tonight as next 2 nights are forecast clear. How are you setup? I seem to be struggling still. Balance seems ok, and once I've Polar Aligned in Polemaster all is good but once I choose a target and start guiding, it all goes down hill.

  20. William Optics Zenithstar 61 to go on my Star Adventurer.
  21. I brought a Skywatcher 1.75" tripod yesterday which is rock solid by the way, so went out this morning to a location about 20 from my home with a decent view of the horizon but when I got there I realised I'd forgot my ballhead! 😡 This is 11 x 3 minute subs and 5 x Darks. To be honest I thought the Milky Way core would of showed up more than this so not sure if I needed more subs, shorter subs or its my post processing. Maybe it would of helped if I'd of been able to frame it in landscape orientation. It was starting to get light when I packed up at 3.45am. The stars look pretty round to me but not much colour other blue and white? Any suggestions or help then feel free.
  22. Just tried the 2 cr2025 battery method in the illuminator and its definitely brighter. Will try it on the the Polar Scope later.
