      It is any area in chrome or IE. Been going on since I returned to this site a week or so ago. I'll try and post in a bit.

  3. So contact lenses sidn't work for me. I spent 30 minutes in spec savers trying to get them out, didn't bother with the putting back in. Glasses it is, then :/

      Ever since I learned what contact lenses were as a small child I vowed never to have them anywhere near my eye! Especially after one guy lost them around his eye somewhere...

      Build a shed - mine sat unused for a year to 18 months in the shed out the way. So glad I kept them though!

  10. Just seen the Harlow decision on the news to begin leaving st lights on all night again. Very depressing, I suppose the other councils will consider doing the same now!

  12. Think I've just purchased an ES 20mm 100 degree EP for less than £200. Even with customs added that is going to be a bargain.

      With a good barlow it has the power to replace all my current eyepieces bar 5 and 6 mm... Hopefully a. I've actually got the eyepiece and b. it works well in my scope

  13. Has Clear Outside completely lost it's mind recently?! Current cloud cover prediction = 0%. Actual cloud cover = 100%...

      I've never had it accurate once. I stick to the BBC, take the two nearest towns to me and view their forecasts. Can then work out if it is actually going to be clear or cloudy.

      I love it when it gets high up enough to see naked eye. I remember my dad showing me it when I was young with naked eye and binoculars. Was in awe.

      Went out In my two fleeces tonight. Didn't feel cold. Moment I took them off in the house realised how cold it was! Best £28 spent I think.

      Its mad, when I was 20 I'd work out in the snow in a t-shirt. Now 10 years on, the slightest chill in the air and I'm under a cover on the sofa! Cold definitely gets me when observing nowadays.

      Thermal socks, a thermal fleece thing and padded jacket to go under my body warmer and sheepskin (faux) jacket, and some gripper gloves cos my hands get real cold.

  22. How are you supposed to use dew heaters? Do you just turn them to maximum?

      You turn them until it gets rid of the dew at the lowest possible setting.

  24. Bought a new car yesterday, turns out the colour of it is called 'Lunar Glow' quite apt.

  25. Aargh, windows update decided to happen just as I was setting my scope up, took 45 minutes. Then firecapture didn't want to work and now clouds. :(

      I always turn updates off on Windows. You can pick and choose the most important updates to install as and when you need to.
