  1. Thank you lee. Yes I think I'm going to research and save up I will look into that book
  2. Thanks James. Have you done any imaging with your 200P?
  3. Hello good people! After using EQ2 mounts and imaging planets for almost a year, I think it's about time for me to start imaging DSO's! I think I can just about afford to get the skywatcher 150p on EQ3-2 mount. Will the mount be ok with a dslr or should I wait a while and get the 200p EQ5? The HEQ5 mount is just too expensive for me, unfortunately. I would just like to know if the EQ3-2 or EQ5 is capable of imaging DSO's Thanks!
  4. How did you get on with the EQ3 mount Tom? I'm considering one for DSO imaging..
  5. Rik, I am thinking about going for the 150p eq3-2. Do you still think I will be able to get some dso astrophotography out of one of them?

    The Moon

My first time observing the Moon through a telescope at 65X magnification. (My first ever telescope, it's an Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ)
  7. I thought about that! Could it by any chance damage my eyepiece or anything? As I read somewhere that that could happen. Also, thank you everyone for the replies!
  8. What do I need to do this? I can't seem to find anything on youtube that deals with reflecting telescopes I don't want to miss the transit of Venus. I have a 5 inch aperture. Thanks John
  9. Hello friends! I'm interested in taking this combined science course this October: http://www.themanchestercollege.ac.uk/adults/courses/combined-science-0 I don't really know much, Maths wise, but I have a strong passion for Physics & Astronomy, just thinking this course could be a good way to get my foot in the door and step in that direction. Have a look and let me know your thoughts John
  10. For a good Barlow I recommend this one http://harrisontelescopes.co.uk/acatalog/Revelation_Astro_2.5x_Barlow_Lens_1.25_.html It's a 2.5x and well, if you read description you will see it has 3 elements which are usually found in the more expensive Barlows. I have one and I can't fault it for £37
  11. Hiya Derek, told you these people are friendly! I hope you are enjoying the scope!
  12. I didn't see it at it's prime, but I saw it the night after and it was beautiful. John
