  1. I fear mobile edition never updating orbital elements of asteroids/comets by automatic. Detailed explanation can give Guillaume Chereau - maintainer of Stellarium Mobile.
  2. 3rd release candidate of version 0.15.2 is out - I hope it will be last RC.
  3. Hmm... Seems we need to introduce new config option (with GUI control) for change a depth of prediction for Iridium flares.
  4. Installing a new drivers may solve your problem
  5. Second release candidate of version 0.15.2 available for testing...
  6. Could you try run Stellarium in MESA mode (Start -> Programs -> Stellarium -> Stellarium (MESA mode))?
  7. Could you try rename this directory: C:\\Users\\fireball\\AppData\\Roaming\\Stellarium to get a clean config.ini file and data for all plugins? Possible some data has invalid format or broken files. I hope you can found source of crashes and share a file which caused this problem.
  8. Stellarium predicts Iridium flashes with depth in week and we can't accurate calculate all events in one-two seconds of time. Please be more patient for this feature - he may use few seconds (may be tens of seconds on slow computers) for calculation.
  9. Please give me a log.txt from Stellarium
  10. fireballxl5, could you try run Stellarium in ANGLE or standard mode?
  11. Hi Mike, You can install both versions in separate directories

  13. It's BRAN 342 or NGC 3572B. Yes, you are right, NGC 3572B is not exists in Stellarium because planetarium doesn't support modern additionals to NGC/IC catalogs.
  14. Sorry, but your proposal equals to "make and support two different versions of planetarium instead one package". Plus very good sky renderer already exists - glunatic
  15. Well, the very short answer here is... Planned and proposed features (some features can be make as plugins) List of languages - translation from English to... please choose one or more languages from over 130 languages Bug fixing - welcome to the good hunting
  16. Well, Stellarium may be better, much better. But we really need user contributions for it, because our development team is very small - 2 developers (Georg Zotti and me) has a more or less persistent contributions and 3 developers (Florian Schaukowitsch, Marcos Cardinot and Guillaume Chereau) has episodical contributions to the code of planetarium. Of course you can say "I'm not a coder and I cannot help you", but... we need testers and translators also. And yes, some type of contributions - skycultures or landscapes for example - is not requires a coding skill. We're received patches from users sometimes, but it's just sometimes. P.S. Sorry for bad English
  17. It should be autosaved at the finish of editing (I meant Oculars plugin)
  18. It could be crash when drivers are not installed or not installed graphics card also.
  19. I highly recommend read the Stellarium User Guide (included in Stellarium package) - many questions will be resolved
  20. Please try: 1. Run Stellarium 2. Press F11 3. Change size and position of Stellarium to your preference 4. Press F2 5. Press "Save settings" button 6. Restart Stellarium 7. Profit!
  21. Please try remove stars_4_1v0_1.cat file (He is located in C:\Users\<Login>\AppData\Roaming\Stellarium\stars\default\). And I recommend to use
  22. Oh no! Stellarium's GUI is... to difficult for understand. Really?!
  23. Telescope Control plugin can send "slew" command only, he can't run "sync" command. Of course you see on the screen marker of last target object or position for telescope. In general Telescope Control plugin should be upgraded, because it requires full implementation of communication protocols. And yes, we really want more developers, who can help us improve planetarium - for example Telescope Control plugin are not under active support, because we has no dedicated developer for his support.
