  1. The option "Limit magnitude" set an upper limit for visibility of objects. By default this option is disabled and it mean "all objects".

The main problem for you is... progressive scale for visibility of all objects by their magnitudes and FOV. Especially for Solar system objects you may enable option "Show planet markers" and move slider "Labels and Markers" onto right side. But this is not same as "make visibile all comets".

P.S. The window "Astronomical Calculations" (F10) may be helpful for you also.

    P.P.S. Спасибо за шляпу :)

  2. Sorry, but seems I'm not well understand your question. Are you want to find the comet on the sky after adding (hint: using "Search window" (F3)) or make visible the comets (or their "markers") on the sky (the visibility of Solar system objects are limited by their magnitudes; hint: see settings for Solar system objects in "Sky and viewing options window" (F4))?

Quick question - I've updated 2 PCs to 0.18, one Win10 64bit and one Win7 64 bit - How do I copy settings from one to the other so they're identical?

Is it simply copy the config file located at C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Roaming\Stellarium to the other PC in the same location (equivalent if different OS)?

    Yes for Windows Vista+

Stellarium 0.17.0 downloaded and works ok...except for Telescope Control.  i have an HEQ5 pro with EQMOD usb serial lead to mount.  Works fine with SGPro and Starry Night pro 7.  But Stellarium doesn't see mount and says "connecting"  but never connects.  Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I haven't yet found solution.

Could you download beta version, enable debug mode in the Telescope Control plugin and check connection to the mount? Of course we want to see logs from this experiment.

    Hi There,

Thanks for your reply but I cant see how to do it. Is there a menu option that I have missed. The only one that I can find is in the configuration window and save settings and then also in that same window is the plugins where I find the navigation stars and I can tick load at startup and then configure it and save but none of these work. I have to manually check the navigation stars icon every time once stellarium is reloaded.

Wait! Are you meant enable visibility to the markers for navigational stars at the startup of planetarium? If answer "yes", then this is impossible because I never added this feature in the plugin.

    Are you really want it?
