  1. Will be easier to control when you finish your tester Rich. All heading in the right direction, well done and good luck.
  2. I picked up a couple of scratches in the final stages too. The Devil in me made me ignore them as the lap was working so well. Make no difference whatsoever, but as you say, I know they are there.
  3. Bad luck Rich. I had that happen with mine too. I tried the warmth bath method, worked well, but then mine was a lot smaller than yours. Don't suppose you got lucky with the scratch being in the shadow of the secondary?
  4. That is really interesting to see Mike. I was wondering how they did their mirror cell. Sounds like you got the paint sorted ok. Should be nice and hard wearing when you finish it.
  5. Can't wait! The direct comparison will be great to do. Not often you get the chance to do such a test as that side by side. Results will be really useful to anyone considering new mirrors.
  6. Interesting comment about the mirror Mike. That is a comparison I would like to do too, but add my diy mirror into the mix as well. See how it holds up against a top end and stock SW mirror.
  7. No objects will be safe from your prying eyes now Mike! All these whizzy additions, Are you gonna paint it Ferrari scarlet?
  8. Keep going Rich, you are doing sterling work. Can't you just test for a sphere with the "sharpie" test?
  9. Good progress Rich. You think this is sweat inducing?? Wait 'til you get to the pitch lap!! Nice contact on the tool.
  10. Oh that is genius! You have gotta love the pure simple idea behind that.
