Hi guys just finished my onstep setup on my DOB but I'm having an issue with star alignment. I've played with some settings and managed to get closer to tracking from one to another but it's stopping half way. My setup to the dob frame nema 17 with 100:1 gearbox Driving gear 20t mod1 Driven gear(on the telescope) 150t Now I've used the excel file to determine the steps per rev but the onstep I have is the v4 by terrans with the console panel to adjust settings (comes up with 26k steps) 🤣 so I must have done something wrong I just need a lil help figuring this last bit out... Also I get a funny error of out of pole when zeroing on izar and arcturus

I hope it's not a health thing I'm 30 haha. Last night was very clear and all the satellites were very easy to spot that's why I don't think it was one as well as checking stellarium/skysafari straight after for passing. It was a fair bit brighter that vega (id say x2) not a clue.. definitely not a plane strobe light they are continuous. I'm guessing no one else spotted it

Any manage to see a very bright flash next to vega last night around 23:00 ? Basically I was taking images of c20 and by chance looked at vega and there was a bright flash for a brief moment! Not a shooting star as there were no movement or trail.. my reaction was "OH WOW" haha

hi guys and gals! im currently working on a goto/tracking system for the average dobsonion mount. there will be abit of modifications to do to the frame but very minimal (afew screws and afew holes) heres a screenshot of where im at right now with the first motor mount there are bearings to place but i havent modeled them if you could follow me on youtube to that would be cool (roundswithnocontext) (noosey) ive designed some other things too which are on youtube( not alot) and a screen shot of a stackable dslr camera mount with built in controller The gear ratio is around 600:1 due to the motor having a 100:1 gearbox on already which i think is enough for now but will be modified for better tracking. any recommendations are welcome. hopefully ive placed this in the right topic haha Case is finished with photos 📸
