Recently saw that Baader did a Hyperion carry case, so went on the net and searched around. RVO showed as having them so I phoned up and they confirmed it, so Placed a phone order which was delivered the next day by courier. Very well packaged. In fact it was so well packed it took me ages to open it. Not a criticism. Will definitely use them again.

Just received another batch of goodies from FLO. Extremely well packed in a strong cardboard box filled with polystyrene pieces for added protection. Top marks.......

Just purchased a ADM saddle to go with my CG5 from FLO. Great piece of kit that should serve me well. And as always a top service from the peeps at FLO. 11/10.

Just bought a Baader Skysurfer V rdf from FLO the other day. Yet again, brilliant service and swift delivery *****. Little surprise that I have bought ALL my astro kit from them. 2 scopes, several eyepieces and umpteen accessories.
They look after me so why do I need to go anywhere else??????

OMG. Just heard that the legendary Sir Patrick Moore has died. What a man. What a legacy he will leave behind. Brilliant man. The Sky At Night will never be the same again:-(

I will be going down the route of a heater tape and conrollerwhen I get my scope out in a few weeks. I gave it it's first outing back in July with a dewsheild attached, but it didn't do anything so that is why I am having to get the tape. I already knew that large SCT's were suceptable to fogging up, but this problem I had just confirmed it.

I also concur with the other sentiments regarding unrealistic expectations. I guess I was somewhat dissapointed by the views I got through my telescope when I first got it myself. However once I had done more research and understood the night sky I came to realise that we are talking unbelievable distances here and what your average amateur can see from their own back garden is nothing short of miraculus.
Your average Joe in the street has come to expect these high def Hubble type images and to that end anything less than that and they think it is rubbish.

Yet again outstanding service from First Light Optics. My wonderful new C9.25 on a CG5 Goto arrived last week. At the same time as ordering the scope I ordered a dewsheild. Had a bit of a mixup with the sheild at first, but all sorted now. Top service fellas. Thanks once again.

I concur with the other sentiments regarding th Widescreen Centre. I was in a similar situation last year where I sent them an email asking for information and advice regarding a paticular product.
Didn't hear anything, so I sent it again.
Still nothing, so I sent them a very strongly worded email asking them if they were actually interested in my custom or not.
Finally got something through, but by which time I had gone elsewhere. I agree that it would appear that they are doing very nicely and don't need my custom. Either very blase or short-sighted in this current economic climate.
They can afford a huge two page spread in Sky At Night magazine every month though.

Had some brilliant service from Martin at First Light Optics recently. Been on the look out for some new eyepieces and finally plumped for a Baader Hyperion 24mm after some great advice from him.
As with all new astro purchases when they arrive through the post the clouds decend, so now I am chomping at the bit wanting to get outside and try it out. Top marks FLO.

Thanks for all your comments. I'll keep on persevering. It will come i'm sure.

Nice one. Thanks for that. I'll give it a try.

Hi, Not sure. Wasn't certain that it was so critical. Could that be the reason then? If the blasted clouds keep away i'll give it a whirl tonight.
Thanks

Hello,
I bought this telescope last week and have been outside with it most nights weather permitting. While I have got the basics sorted I have now been trying to align the scope off 3 different stars, but it keeps coming back with alignment failed.
My garden is fairly dark and east facing.
I am following the instructions to the letter, but nothing doing so far. Don't know if anyone could shed some light on what I am doing wrong.
Thanks

I am a relatively new customer of RVO, but having previously bought most of my
gear from somewhere else I thought I would give them a try. Checked out
some prices and availability and they were showing as in stock and at
competitive prices. I however did have a few questions to ask, so I
phoned them and spoke with Adam. he was very helpful and answered my
queries, so I placed my order online. My gear suitably arrived the
following day via courier. Very well packaged. Excellent service. Very pleased.
