  1. Thanks for all the helpful replies. Sorry I have some more questions, firstly - Would I be able to use it as a solar telescope? Also, can I just need to attach a quality 'solar filter' to it for solar observation?
  2. Hi I am going to buy a Skywatcher Skyhawk 1145P SynScan AZ GOTO Telescope and would like to know what it's like to use from any members who may have used one? I have decided to buy the Skyhawk because of financial restraints. I know that the aperture is not as large as a 130p, but again because of my budget I've decided on the 114mm. Please can anyone advise me on this particular telescope? What might I expect from it's performance and magnification? Thank you in advance Proxima
  3. Hi, I've recently ordered the Skyhawk 1145P Synscan AZ GOTO, and am enquiring if anybody has any experience of this scope? What might I expect to view for instance? It's only for "grab & go" so I don't expect much. I ordered mainly so that I can use the HC for my Auto Dob.
  4. Mine would be the Sculptor Dwarf Galaxy
  5. Can anyone tell me the best way to counterweight my dob? Are there magnets available? or some other system that dob users use?
