Ah, Tasco! Memories of the late 'sixties flood back! I had a 60mm frac, which gave excellent views, as I recall, and had glass optics and a sturdy metal tube (don't know if it was steel or aluminium - certainly had a 'solid' feel to it). Only problem was the flimsy wooden tripod, which wobbled about at the slightest touch or breath of wind. I wonder how many people found the unsteadiness of the image in these due to the poor mounting so off putting that they gave up after a short time?
