  1. Hanks Michael, I'm in a bortle 6 area. I have used a light pollution filter but not always. I have been adjusting in photoshop. I haven't gotten into narrow band filters yet. I'm certainly edging towards Ha mod.
  2. That's excellent, thank you. I'll check him out
  3. Good afternoon guys n gals, I have a canon 700D which I want to get astro modded. After reading many forums and watching YouTube videos, I think a LPF2 ha mod is the best for me. The way I understand auto focus and infinity focus is retained. I can even, if I wish, still ise the camera for daytime photography using custom white balance. My questions are.... Is this the best mod for astrophotography of DSO's Is a full spectrum mod better Will I need additional filters clip in or screw on (if using a camera lens) for either mod Thank you in advance Clear skies
  4. That's very reassuring, I've just bought the 5mm for some upclose views of Jupiter and the other planets. I agree it feels quality when you handle it but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I have a general question. I've been using eyepiece projection with my DSLR to get shots of the planets using my small stock lenses that came with my skywatcher scope but thus is a lot bigger. I don't think it will fit. Has anyone come across an extension/projection tube which will got these dimensions? Thanks again for a great review
  5. Woohoo!!! Sorted. It was just the slew speed. Worked it out and is fine now. Thanks everyone for the advice
  6. I'll set it up later. This is great news. Searching Google for this answer is impossible. I've found a possible solution in minutes on thus forum. I'll come here next time 👏
  7. Oh.....so it does move? I'll check the slew speed. I just thought nothing was happening 🤔
  8. Hi fellow stargazers and astro photo enthusiasts. I have a question about the AVX mount and it maybe a silly one, but here we go. After the usual setup process and alignment all goes as planned. After using goto, the object, lets say M81 is pretty much centred. At thus point the directional buttons on the hand controller do not work. I know some will say why do you want to move it. I am using a DSLR attached to a 150/750 Newtonian for astro photography and want to frame differently. Is my only option to change the eyepiece (lens projection) or just rotate the camera on the focuser. Many thanks Rich
