Today, I was just checking my eq mount. I took off the telescope and the counterweight. Then I rotated the declination slow-mo cable vigorously with my hand and suddenly the declination axis became loose. I tried to fix it, but ended up taking off the whole declination axis. The declination axis has a rod to which a nut is screwed at the bottom. I tried putting dec axis back together. But the nut is inside the metal housing, so I can't reach it. I am struck with my broken mount. PLEASE HELP

Hi! I am new to astrophotography. I know that doublet or triplet refractor are most used for astrophotography because they remove chromatic aberration. But newtonians also prevent aberration. I know that newtonians are big and bulky to use, but small 80mm, low f/ number newtonians are also available. So why these small newtonians are not used for astrophotography despite they prevent aberration, are small in size, and are also cheap ? Thanks!

I want a astrophotography camera within 300 dollars range. The svbony 105 is marketed for lunar observation so I wonder if I could use it for DSOs. Is svbony 205 also good? Thanks.

The nearest astronomical club is out of my town. So I cannot visit it.

Ok, I have posted few threads before, on getting a new telescope, and I appreciate the answers. But I am still slightly confused, and wish that this thread should be the last. The telescope should be able to see DSO and planets of solar system(with detail). I also want to know if the 2nd scope is good for the above motive. Thanks! UPDATE: I bought 1st scope mentioned above. And I am amazed by how much stuff I can see with it. It is great for moon and DSOs, but slightly bad at planets like Venus, Jupiter, etc. I cannot try on saturn because it not visible.

I found a 80mm(F400) refractor and a 80mm(F800) reflector at my local astronomical store. The aperture is same, so I am confused which one to buy.

I am new to astronomy and I want to make a good use of my money to buy a telescope under $185. I live in India and I found this https://fotocart.in/product/startracker-80eq-refractor-f400mm-refractor-telescope/ telescope which is 10990INR or about $133. The brand is not popular like celestron, meade,etc So I am confused whether to buy it or not, or get something better.

I am new to astronomy. I want a telescope to view deep sky objects. I am looking for a telescope under $185. I am confused between a 80mm (f400) refractor and a 114mm (f900) reflector, because it's almost similar priced.
