  4. It's an absolute steal mate but I don't fancy driving to Liverpool from hastings. If you throw in a ticket at the Kop end I'll drive up🤣
  5. I'm getting the itch for a second scope and quite like the look of the bresser 127l but it has the same focal length as my 10" bresser dob not sure if I'll gain anything with detail on the lunar surface and planets?
  6. I think I'm going to take the eq platform for now with a astro cam and laptop and see how that works.
  7. This is all becoming more and more technical and very expensive the more I look into it. I've been looking at an NEQ5 maybe with the askar 103 triple apo
  8. Would you suggest a 8" newtonian and a dedicated astro cam?
  9. For imaging galaxies would a 80mm apo with a dslr be good?
  10. Rovervalleyoptics offer finance I've got an imaging setup sat in a basket not sure whether to hit the button yet though😬

  14. I have the bresser dob in 10" it's a lovely telescope and works very well the only thing I changed was the finder scope which is pretty pants. I changed it for the 8×50 that comes with the SL

  16. I have the 4.5 mm morpheus and its an outstanding EP, I'll be grabbing the 17.5mm when I get a chance they're extremely comfortable to use I'm tempted to sell My ES 82° eps but I've also got my eye on getting an astrophotography setup it's to easy to spend a fortune with this hobby.
  17. That's awful it does put me off alot of people prefer bank transfer aswel which doesn't sit well with me, I kinda wish FLO offered finance but that would be extremely dangerous also 🤣

    Hello

Welcome to SGL best bet for visual astronomy is a large dobsonian you get the most bang for your bucks
  19. What's your experience with astro buy and sell? I've seen some great scopes on there. People from SGL speak well of the site.
  20. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/671867711565451/?ref=facebook_story_share This doesn't look like a bad deal although I'm not familiar with AP looking to get a set up soon once I've done more research on the topic
  21. How many posts before I get access to the classifieds on SGL?
  22. It's a manual rocker box unfortunately. Is it possible to nudge it while imaging?. I'd also like to keep my big dob for garden use ideally,it's becoming a pain to load up in the car. A more dedicated astro set up for imaging is the way I would like to go. I'm already looking at a laptop, ideally I'd like to start with a dedicated astro camera that videos the planets and moon while I control it and view from the laptop. Anyone have any experience with this?
