  1. Ok I'll clarify a bit, I have a 100mm f2.8 macro canon lens works quite well for stars I have used it on a canon T7i Works very well I astro modified my canon t4i and didn't get the torque screw length perfect kinda just eyeballed it Here are example images The first one is modified the second one isn't. First one was taken through a thin layer of clouds just to test so that might have an effect idk but thats why deneb is so wonkyBottom left corner is kinda the problem honestly tho as long as there is no nebulosity there that I want I have tried and I can fix the stars to an extent also I always crop in a bit Both images taken at f4 btw.
  2. I am just using a Dslr and lens
  3. I did a HA mod on my camera but seem to have sensor tilt now its reasonable on 3 corners but bottom left it pretty bad. Wondering how I know how far to screw in or unscrew the torque screws to get the sensor flat. I've also heard of a tilt adjuster wondering if those would fix it also. Thanks.
  4. In the video form of the tutorial he glues down the screws again to keep the camera from changing focus he says. I will have to check if I have sensor tilt everything looks fine right now though.
  5. ITS WORKING!! Wow I never thought I would get it working. After I got it to turn on and it set error 70 I went back in reseated every cable and made 10000% sure they were perfect came out and it works and the mod was successful! If your camera isn't turning on after a mod CHECK THE CABLES I thought for sure they were perfect but cable F was slightly crooked. You will think the cables are perfect and there is no way they are wrong but 99% of the time its them trust me they are wrong.
  6. UPDATE: I just got the camera to turn on but now when I try to take a picture or use Live view it displays Error 70: try turning the camera on and off or reseating the battery. Obviously this is better than the camera not turning on but still need some help (The Ribbon cable leading to the battery was barely off. It was slightly crooked) Also I did not glue down the torque screws connected to the sensor he says it might change focus. Will this happen and if so how fast.
  7. I've tried depressing the switches with toothpicks manually and it didn't work unfortunately
  8. Yea unfortunately thinking that myself. If I might have touched the flux capacitor would that make it not turn on?
  9. No I didn't mark the depth, wish I would have but they all kinda clicked into place and there are little pieces on the sides that come out that are supposed to go into little indents in the connectors which they are. If by the single sensor cleaning ribbon on the lpf-1 you mean the cable that comes out of the filter stack thing, then that is in correctly as far as I remember.
  10. Yes no screen or anything I have gone through the process up until taking out the sensor as I am confident that I did that step correctly and also if there was something wrong in there it wouldn't stop the camera from turning on, I feel like the only thing it could be is the ribbon cables around the power switch and/or depending on how the sd and battery door sensors work if they are like light based the plastic pieces that fell out around that could be letting in light and stopping it from turning on which I doubt highly.
  11. I followed the Gary Honis Canon T4i astro mod video and did a HA mod. put everything back together and The camera does nothing when I turn it on, I dont know what areas in the camera could make this happen so I'm just gonna go through all the things that I think might have gone wrong. I'm fairly certain I have all ribbon cables put back in correctly but not 100% sure I guess, also the torque screws before taking out the camera sensor might not be tightened right, a few small plastic bits fell off around the sd card any bettery doors and one under the rubber to the top right of the screen, and also I'm not completely reassembling the entire camera when I turn it on as in I haven't been putting the plastic all together but all the electronics are connected the battery door and sd card door are shut. Any help would be greatly appreciated (There is also a small rattling inside the camera when I shake it)
