I'm a machinist and I have the same telescope. Because the tripod is so light I had a great idea and it works wonderful. I use mag base used for indicating with in .030 of a inch. You don't have to really modify anything I used a 1/4-20 bolt to attach scope. Anyhow I'm sure most will figure it out. I put a thin towel so not to scratch my car and turn magnet on, the adjustment is very simple.
