  1. I am working with a Lunt LS100MT, B1800, and a single-stack filter. ZWO ASI432mm camera.
  2. As far as math calculations are concerned, I am a retired Certified Public Accountant and should no longer come near mathematic calculations. 😜
  3. My first reaction was to mention both Exposure and Gain. Whatever software you are using to see through the scope (assuming you are looking at astrophotography) you will become a friend to gain and exposure. For prominences, gain and exposure are down quite far. For interior of sun, they are up higher. If you are using an etalon filter, the one I use on my Lunt had to be tightened pretty far down. If you have one, tighten it all the way down, then back off of it in small amounts. Good luck.
  4. Hi, I’m new here. So far what I’ve seen, ASI Studio works great for me, on my Macbook Pro. All my images of the sun are being done through ASICap. It is great, flexible, and gives me a nice, sharp image. Now I am working on figuring out how to get the best, sharpest stack of my selected image. There is a slider on the video stacker part of the program, which allows you to enter any percentage. The wording does not make it clear, whether 20% gives better sharp image, or whether 80% gives you the image. Any of you know? Thank you.
  5. I am a user of ASI Studio. I use ASICap to do my imaging and I use ASI VideoStack as well. But my question revolves around the slider that shows percentages during stacking. Their wording above the item makes me wonder, whether 20% is better, or 80% would be better. My goal is the sharpest detail in my solar pictures. Here is a sample I photographed yesterday.
