  1. I got lucky with the Rosette last week. Rig; Esprit100, AZ-EQ6-GT, ASI2600MC & an Optolong L-Ultra under a Bortle7/8. Processed only with Siril.
  2. Dear All. I've only been imaging with my 'Frac up until now, leaaving a perfectly good Newt sitting in the corner. I'm looking at upgrading it a little and trying it out for size. It's a SW 200p. I've swapped out the Crayford for a Baader, flocked the inside, the Collimation will now be with an Ocal 3, thanks to Backyard Universe I have masked the Primary and upgraded the Spider. On choosing a Secondary Mirror Mask, I've discovered that the 200PDS has a 58mm diameter while my P only has a 52mm. Is this just to accomodate the PDS shorter tube? Will it be beneficial to swap it for a larger size? I have planned to move the primary slightly further deeper into the tube to help with increasing Backfocus.
  3. Hello All. I'm looking for options for Image Processing, who uses what and why do you like it?
  4. No no, fire away, this is all good knowledge
  5. Dear All. Up until now I have only been using a LP Filter for Imaging with my asi2600 with average results for Deep Sky. So I have purchased an ASIEFW and a set of 3 Narrowband Filters to enhance my pics. My question being would I keep my Light Polution fixed in my Stack somewhere, while I image with the Narrows in the wheel? I should say the Camera is colour and the three NB ar O-III, H-Alpha & S-II.
  6. Lovely, thank you for the reply. I should have said though that I was planning to get everything I needed before starting, but a couple of days wait won't kill me.
  7. Dear All. As I rarely use this Mount now, I thought I might busy myself during the short nights by stripping it down and changing the Bearings.....I've seen several references to Bearing Size & Reference Numbers, which has left me in the Dark as to what the correct sizes are.....Anyone swapped theirs and can remember what they used?
  8. Dear All. I have recently invested in a few more pieces of kit to better my Astrophotography. I got myself a SW Esprit 100 with the matching Field Flattener. On getting round to "RTFM" fully, it stated that the FF is just for Photo use only , is it not practical to use it for Visual? It seems a waste of time, unscrewing everything only to have to connect it all again, Lazy Tyke.
  9. Looking at that Pic, I gather it's the Camera end that will need a little longer than the EP, they have a 1½" Clicklock & the Polaris straight onto the t2 top.
  10. Yes, I new I'd seen a pic somewhere, thank you sir.
  11. Hello All. Once more unto the Fountain of Information. I'm putting together a Guider on my Frac. I'm using Baader Varioscope and thought I might complicate things a bit it seems. I want to use a Flip Mirror with it to alternate between Finding then Guiding. The Backfocus required for the ZWO ASI462 that I have set aside for the job is 12.5mm. A Polaris II Eyepiece is being used and is screwed into the other Port of the Flip. Do I need to space either of these further away from the Lip of the Flip for them to be parfocal? trying to save myself a headache here so any and all replies so very welcome.
  12. Hello All. It was recommended to me when I bought this mount to swap over the Clamps. After seeing my friends 200 Newt hit the deck on Saturday, I've decided to not risk it any more. My problem being that I can't see which one of the ADM or Baader ones are advertised to fit. Any of you fellows able to point me in the right direction please?
  13. Dear All. I'm in the Proceeds of putting together a better Kit for Astro-imaging. I've ordered an ASIair Plus, and although ZWO have attempted to address the connectivity issues from previous models there still seems to be a few comments/complaints in the air. Therefor I thought a good idea to get a wifi booster. Looking at the market there seems to be quite a lot of choice. To save time and money is there a specific spec that's best for me? Let me know what worked for you and I'll get the Beers in..
