Nope! Seeing stayed "swimming pool" so packed it in. 3 nights in a row was asking a bit much I suppose...

  2. 2hr lunar session tonight - PC memory issues stopped play. (and the fact that it's very cold out there tonight!)

  3. 3 good sessions in December so far. Looking forward to another (cold) one tonight...

  4. Attended the S@N Astrophotography master class at @Bristol last night. Pete Lawrence, Damian Peach and Steve Richards. Excellent. Great turn out too.

  5. FIrst session tonight since May(!). Seriously out of practice!! At least I managed to get a new guidescope dialled in and a new USB hub working before dew stopped plau.

  6. Scorching at RNAS Yeovilton air day today. Vulcan, Eurofighter and BBMF the stars. Lots of pictures to work through now.

  7. Just got back from IAS with new Celestron Luminos 2.5x Barlow. Had to try it out tonight on the Moon. Wow!!!

  8. Got back from holiday to find the back garden no longer bathed in the orange glow from the 7 streetlights that overlook it. Now got white LED one's instead. Better shading so less overspill, but I think they're brighter. Just waiting for a clear night now to see if it's better or worse....

Well, there's good news and bad news. The good news is they're much more "directional", so the 6 lights away from the garden are much less of a problem. The bad news is the single light directly overlooking the garden is VERY bright so it still kills a good deal of the southern sky. I feel a migration to narrowband coming on...
