  1. Hi Guys and Gals, Sorry I've be absent for a while...been moving home. Starting to get sorted now and hopt to have my scopes up and running in the next week or two. Have a nice small back garden with a good brick built garage for using as storage for my equipment. Best Regards, AJ
  2. Gordon Age wise you have a long way to go ...When you get to my age 73 going on 24 you start looking back on all the good things and planning the next lot LOL. Have a good Kick A.. life and enjoy every day of it...I do and I can still hump my Dobs up and down the garden with no effort. Regards AJ
  3. Gordon. As a specs wearer of many many years...I have no trouble at the EP with or without my specs Dont worry to much about it as you aptly state it comes to all with old age... only prob with that, mine came when I was twelve LOL But it never stopped my interest in stronomy thank goodness. AJ.
  4. Definitely 'Draper' as I'm all ready there :) AJ
  5. Stayed up all night watching the program on TV then stayed off work the next day to continue watching. How could one forget that momentous occasion when Armstrong said those immortal words. I was a meer 32 years old then with all the kids sitting open mouthed and asking was it real. AJ.
  6. Looks like I'm not the only one complaining about SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Had a good bashing here in North Wales over the weekend...and guese what???? More forcast for later this afternoon. Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam!!!! Ah!!!! That felt good. Think I'll go and look at my scopes and think about lovely clear night skys :) :) (Thinks! 'What are they?????') AJ.
  7. Nice One W.H. ......And lunator your lucky to have a daughter who's interested all my lot are grown up and think their old Dad is the Mad Proff of the old B Movies AJ
  8. Well Guys I've read all the If's, Ands, and Buts, and can't understand what all the fuss is about. A scope is a Scope regardless of how it's mounted or what fancy name it goes under...or what pricy equipment one has to drive it or not to drive it. Use whatever you feel you like and whatever fits your pocket...Some of us Oldies on state pensions have to cut our cloth to suite if we wish to carry on with our hobby, Newt or Ref. it all boils down to the same thing in the end...does it give you the view your looking for. If so...then good luck and good seeing. Regards to all AJ
