  1. Hi all, Looking at making my own power pack with the below battery. Looked at leisure batteries and they seem pretty heavy. Granted they have much larger capacity but I don't think I need that at the moment.https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00244TCWW/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1474663520&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=sealed+lead+acid+battery+12v+yuasa&dpPl=1&dpID=51mOFMcLsbL&ref=plSrch So my question really is, is this an ok battery? And what connectors do I need to connect it to my heq5? Cheers for any help.
  2. Hi all. I think I'm also keen on the Sealed lead acid batteries from maplins. But I am new to all this and have no idea what sort of connector I would need to connect it to my HEQ5. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Cheers
  3. I've got one of these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swees-25600mAh-3-Smart-USB-Power-Charger-Black/dp/B00TDGC9WY Anyone know if these can be used somehow to power a heq5 pro? Would be interested to know before I look into building my own powertank.
  4. Do leisure batteries need to be constantly topped up? My jumpstarter died due to me being rubbish at making sure it was charged...
  5. Thanks all. I think im being unbelievably thick though. Can I not just use the adaptor I've been using to power my power tank?... I'll check the voltage and Amps when I get home.
  6. I've got the same setup. Hopefully buying the upgrade kit soon. Not just for goto, but the upgraded motors for better tracking and control board with st4 port for guiding.
  7. Ah i see. Thanks for the replys. So I'm thinking something more like http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/switched-mode-12v-dc-5a-regulated-cctv-power-supply-n63jn
  8. Haha I have no idea... It will be solely powering the mount. Nothing else.
  9. So my power tank has died. Thinking of replacing it with a leisure battery. But in the meantime I would like to power my heq5 via the mains. I've completly no idea what I need. Preferable I'd like something I can pick up from maplins etc Would something like this work? http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-12w-acdc-fixed-voltage-12v-power-supply-n35az
  10. Amazing thanks all!! Don't know why I couldn't find that post when searching...sorry. It will be just the goto upgrade. No belts involved yet!
  11. I'm hoping to buy the upgrade kit (for my heq5) in a few weeks. Does anyone know of a useful guide for the install as I'm sure the instructions provided won't be very helpful. Cheers
