  2. yes Graham at Astrotec will do it for you. A real nice guy http://www.astrotecuk.co.uk/
  3. Nope didn't think the thread would still be active and can't believe it's been 4 yrs already
  4. Another TMB Lomo user here and I'd not swap it for any other similar sized scope
  5. Had this a few times with my old efw1 and it was as simple as restarting laptop with it already connect via usb, then all was good Of course you might have already tried that [emoji6]
  6. Cheers Martin Thanks Olly I had noticed the lack of colour in the core and when I'd gathered more data I was going to try reprocessing without the short Lum to see if it helped so many thanks for confirming my thinking
  7. Winter Project 23 x Lum 5 mins 4 x Red 5 mins 4 x Green 5 mins 4 Blue 5 mins + a few short ones for the core This is 2 nights worth of data so far. Sadly night 2 was cut short by patchy cloud so i'm very short of colour data, still very much a work in progress and i haven't spent as much time as normal processing the data so it might be a little rough around the edges I'd like to get another 3 good nights on this but with the UK weather the plan might have to change full res image can be seen here http://tokolosheastro.weebly.com/images.html
  8. Will you be getting any of the swanky Red versions ?

  14. Just to update the thread I received my new cable from David at hitecastro yesterday and tested it out last night with great success Happy Days
  15. yes it is a standard 9 pin to 9 pin straight serial cable the issue with off the shelf ones can be their length so the custom cable from David at hitecastro will be much better as it matches my setup better
  16. A little update. I've heard back from David at hitecastro as he requested I send him an image of my lakeside motor cables, when he made my custom cable he used a lakeside motor that he had to make my cable but having seen the image of my motor he has told me that the wires on my motor are different to his so this is why my cable doesn't work He is sending me a new cable so fingers crossed this will solve the issue. Once it arrives I will update the thread
  17. Hi Barry I've taken the stepper motor apart and it's simply a case of the gearing not turning at all. The first gear cog just vibrates a little
  18. Directly to the motor attached to the focuser so yes the controller becomes redundant
  19. Many thanks Alan I'll give it a try. Bit of a pain it's soooo long
  20. I did confirm with David at hitecastro that this would work and he assured me it would other people have use the setup as well
  21. I assume I need a (straight) cable like this http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/nikkai-pure-connectivity-serial-rs232-9-pin-male-to-9-pin-female-3m-l67bt
  22. How do I know if it's a crossover or not they all look the same to me
  23. The lakeside motors do work with the mount hub I've had it confirmed by a couple of people including the gentleman that posted above you. Maybe I have a faulty cable
  24. Hi Alan I had the cable made for me by David at hitecastro, not being so handy with electrical stuff I thought that would be the best thing to do
  25. Hi Martin It's not a usb hub it's one of these http://www.firstlightoptics.com/hitecastro/hitecastro-mount-hub-pro-v3.html
