    Problem solved, I was turning the bolt the wrong way. Idiot

    I have been given a starwatcher 1022mm tube. I got a Skywatcher Universal Dovetail Bar to mount it on. The screw on my tripod is the wrong size to fit it. Do I have to drill and tap the Dovetail Bar, or is it possible to easily change the bolt on the tripod,

    I have just been given a skywatcher 102mm. i have managed to pick up an equatorial mount. Do mounts have be designed to take a goto set up or can you get them to fit on any mount. TY
