Okay thanks, I forgot about doing serial to usb. Is it that the webcam makes it not work or is it not recognised by the laptop?

I have just received my webcam after having it modded for long exposure but need to get an adaptor as my laptop doesn't have a serial port. Can I buy any serial to parallel and parallel to USB or does it have to be a certain type?

Does anybody know where I can get my SPC880nc modded for the long exposure as Astronomiser don't seem to do this anymore. I have seen a few on eBay but would prefer to use a proper website.

As you said, the new one has more noise but I think it is better than the first, well done!
No chance of that happening.
Even though you missed that bit out it is still a brilliant image
The reason I could not find it on the Europe part on SpaceWeather as it is buried right in the corner and on an iPod Touch it is rather hard to see
