oh dear, I forgotten about that, changing the star size in PS2 & the sensor size too ( am a clown ) plus am using all sky plate solver in APT would that make a difference not using ASPS , I will do that tonight when I come home from work, and try again next time it clear thanks guys

Good evening everyone Just like ask a question I was trying to use my DSLR canon 1100D with my 8' scope , I tried to use to plate solve the image in APT , plate solving timed out on the image, plate solving works on my ccd camera in APT without any problem at all as anyone got any idea's , am puzzled as to why !!

hello everyone hope all is well I bought a second hand sky-watcher auto focuser some time back, all working fine, all of a shoulden, it seam to stop working, I looked that the buttons on the controller they seam to to be sticking in , so I unscrewed it , gave it a spray of contact cleaner , it works , when I come to use it again, it was back to square one, the buttons on the controller still sticking and slow coming back out, I have tried a few times with contact cleaner , sometimes it doesn't rotate the focuser , does any have any suggestions, what is wrong, please

Hello friends, many thanks for all your friendly welcome , I have been doing astronomy a good few yrs with the kit, I've got , am hoping to upgrade my mount from sky-watcher eq5 pro ,to a sky-watcher eq6r pro from FLO, sometimes i do get stuck & confused on a few things , I do need help sometimes, with all your friendly advice . sometime I can't get out with the scope even if its clear which is annoying 😖, I set up in the garage & where i leave it until night time, my dad sometimes does woodwork in the garage, where there is a lot of saw dust about , which am trying to keep clean my optics, which is hard with sawdust about , clear skies

when you say 20 to 30 flats does that mean for each filter

Hi everyone many thanks for the warm welcome I was wondering, do I need to do dark frames and flat frames with the atik 314L ccd camera , how do I go about doing flats , do I lay white t shirt over the scope first then the flat panel on top / or do I lay the flat panel on top of the scope without the t-shirt and how long of exposure time do I need for each filter. can I do Dark frames / flats frames at anytime or as it to be on the same night as imaging.
