Not sure if it was the same problem l had see pic. l fitted parfocal rings to my 2 main eyepieces and that sorted the problem.

Thank you icpn l feel a bit better now lol. Yes thank you Stu l found that page this morning and messaged them. They had problems back in 2017 with a similar thing so hopefully just a glitch as it seems a really good magazine.

Hope this is OK to post this here.
Good morning everyone. l was wondering if anyone subscribes to this magazine astronomytechnologytoday? l bought a subscription on the 12th May had a confirmation email to say all good. Now l cannot connect to their site all l get is 'error establishing a database connection'. l get that no matter what l click on. Wondering if anyone else is having problems? lt was only $9 for a 2 year subscription as was on a special offer. So not a lot of money to lose if it has gone bottoms up.

Literally the above lunar image is the first & only with that camera & scope.
Just pressed the button on the 62ED and reducer😁.

I'm very pleased with it and expecting to get a decent ZWO Pro camera to use with it soon. It's very well built and compact. The only negative I have is that the focuser does not rotate - but this is solved if you buy the dedicated focal reducer. Visual usage was very clear & crisp, though I had only used a Svbony zoom which should mean even better with other/dearer/better quality eyepieces.
Many thanks Steve for getting back so quick. l will also get the focal reducer as well. l was looking at the Evolux 82ED but the very few reviews that are out there show the 62 in a good light. An Australian guy on YouTube Steven Morris prefers the 62 to 82ED after reviewing them. Have you any pictures to put up are you only doing visual?

Welcome to SGL rojay one of if not the best Astronomy forum there is.

l have the CPC800 and the Nexstar 6SE. Love them both but find the CPC800 is getting a tad heavy for me to set up l'm 65 and have a few age related problems (knees and back) whereas the 6SE is a doddle. Both have very good optics and the GOTO is really good. Once my Obsy is built l will leave the CPC set up but the 6SE is ideal to transport to dark sites.

If you have plenty of focus movement then just get an eyepiece par focal ring on the Hyperion barrel to act as a small spacer and lift the EP above the screw head.

Me again. the time on the GPS on my 6SE is showing as being an hour behind. lt says GPS linked and everything else is ok. Can l change the time my self or just leave it. l'm in North Kent UK. Should it be in standard time or universal time. l have tried both and it is still an hour behind. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I have one on just my eyepieces. Since then no problem. Got mine from www.dewcontrol.com
Thank you, just ordered one from FLO.

Having problems with my eyepiece's dewing up so was looking at heated dew bands. I use Hyperions so assume a 2" would be OK. Wondering if l should get a longer one and wrap the diagonal as well. Any thoughts on this please.
