    Cash is King!

    Well as per usual, real life and Bills loom. I'm trying not to sell of too much kit. But a broken car and stressed fiances beckon. 
    Now on another note I'm looking to produce a camera lens scope. I have a Takumar 70-150mm lens. I have done some research, ad purchased a T2 to 1.25" visual back from China for £5!. This will allow me to add a barlow, 1.25" diagonal for use as a scope. The lens has a 65mm front aperture, so hoping it may provide a decent travel scope!.
    More to follow on this mini project.

    I'm thinking about setting up a Website for a new South observing group?
    I thought 'South Astronomer Observing Group' was a good name for the group?. The website could have news, pictures and info on there for the meets etc. I think the email side could keep us all posted. etc.

    Thought I'd clean the kit bag out today.. so while all was out on the table thought it would be a good time to take a photo of my EP collection
    Moonfish 30mm UWA 2" EP - Space walk views, does pull stars on outer 30% in my f6, less in the f7
    Sterling 25mm 55 degree - Nice contrast DSO EP (TV Plossl perfomance)
    Skywatcher 27mm 53 degree - Great contrast, and inky black background. Does pull stars on outer 20%
    SmartAstronomy 18mm & 12.5mm 53 degree LER. Nice on the eye, great colour correction in both scopes I have. A little soft at times on planets, this is down to seeing (a little sensitive) but its nothing that bothers me TBH. Super EPs for Lunar!
    Antares 7mm Ortho (Japan made). This is one sharp EP!.. fantastic in the f6
    Orion Shorty Plus APO Barlow x 2 - Had this for years. Solid Barlow producing the best image performance for under £50!.
