  2. Excellent results, I too was inspired by Astrophotography on the Go to try and use a light altaz mounts and light scopes to image DSOs. Throughout the last year I have imaged many objects using a SW AZ-GTi and four scopes (SW 80/400, Bresser 102/460, Meade 2045D and SW MAK-90) plus a few camera lenses. My Blog with images and technical discussion about altaz imaging. My astrobin page.

  3. Thanks! Honestly I tought, if I have alt-az mount, the best way to gather light in short time, if I take a picture about that light, what is already concentrated in the eyepiece. I saw in the astroshop website, there are more types of smartphone adapter, than I tought, it's not impossible to do this with phone. The first try was surprise to me, a monochrome attempt on M42. Till this day I use my phone to take pictures and I like it Now I want to make a gallery here, than I can share my pictures with the sgl users and with my friends too.

  4. I just realised that some photos are rather old. The 35 Pan and the two Manfrotto tripods have been replaced. The Zeiss Abbe Barlow moved to a new owner, and a new "3.4mm" could join the family soon..!

  6. Yes, it's awesome! Don't regret changing from my zwo mono. Now paired with the apex 0.65 reducer I am able to finish more target projects! With half decent results in small amounts of exposure time...

  8. Sorry @happy-kat I just discovered your comment here, I must have missed the notification. Mine is certainly not as solid as yours and I don't have pictures of the build, but I've just uploaded those of the result I have at hand : and

  11. Hey Tony, much too late reply I know! Didn't see this on here.. Still getting used to the site and its layout! Nice shot of M33 with just 40x5 min subs! A few more subs and pumping the colour saturation I tiny bit more will give you some better colour rendering I recon? Tough times for all at the minute and do hope you are well.. Wayne

  12. I put this through astrometry.net and it reviled the furthest thing I have so far ever knowingly recorded Galaxy IC 4285 at a distance of 1,023 million light years, I am to say the least in awe of this type of astronomy, It isn't the faintest smudge I have recorded at 16.7mag that was IC 4282 (to my knowledge that is) at 17.4mag.

  15. Congrats! ? I use 30 sec on nebulas, 10-15 on clusters. With planets I can't do good pictures, they are too bright for my cam to take a video about them and stack the frames. With one shot this is the best, what I have:

  16. Have a look at this thread, just a bit of fun really but some useful stuff about smartphone imaging. This my M42 attempt is on there, plus a decent one of Jupiter. https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/282996-the-inaugural-stupod-winner-announced/?tab=comments#comment-3097056

  18. Time for new pictures then! I only occasionally see a gallery here, once or twice a year, if I happen to be on-line as the pics are posted. It's a shame really, if galleries remain mostly unseen!
