For extending the bass response this would do me nicely :- The Epicenter 500 Subwoofer

Thanks, Ken. Let me know how you get along. I think I'll pop up on the roof tonight, the first time in over two weeks!

The correct focus position was set up using an optimally tuned PST less its 40mm objective. The subsequent mod is a stage2 so the black box is empty. The digonal containing the blocking filter fits in an aperture machined in the rear face of the black box. Spacers have been supplied that make up any difference in the post etalon focus. Any very small adjustments for different eyepieces are by way of the OTA fucuser and lie within the etalon position tolerances.

Okies.. 16IC - the camera is recognised and starting to get the communications sorted. The pain is to support this camera will require the user to install the FTDI drivers. It would be possible to embed it in the driver framework if the dynamic library path wasn't hard coded (OSX uses full library paths and not a leaf name that's searched). I'll revisit this later and see if I can get it so the user doesn't have todo anything.. Naturally this is slow legacy.. USB1.. etc but it's a good camera and I'd prefer the titan to be imaging at the same time - letting the 16ic guide.

I take it you have told the software to use COM4 rather than COM1?

If I look South I can only just make out the teapot, but it is in the middle of the light pollution, not a lot else is visible at that level. With a sloping garden I miss out on the lower stuff to the North, the Plough is just above my tree line / horizon in that direction. Still, there's plenty to see - I can make out the entire Milky Way, all those star clusters around Cassiopia, the Andromeda galaxy, Pleiades. Tonight I saw Jupiter rising in the East, I shall look forward to observing that when I get my scope out next. Cruising with just binoculars and some knowledge is surprisingly fun and relaxing.

I saw at least 25 and my camera saw more. I am still reviewing the pics. This was on morn of Aug 12, from ~2:00 am to 5:00 am. I have a few shots on my gallery uploads. Real problem was where and when to point the camera.
