Hawksmoor

The weather was a bit mixed in Lowestoft in the early hours of 09-12-2022, so in the end was pleased to get any sort of image of Mars. Stack of 9000 frames taken with my 127mm Meade APo refractor and my aged QHY5L-IIc planetary camera. Looking at my data I assume there was quite a lot of cloud about on the Martian disc. On the other hand, could be artifacts of my clumsy processing.

From the album:

Great image, George! How are you and the Mrs.?

Thanks Reggie. Mrs H and I are well. She is recovering well from her knee and hip replacement surgery and we are out an about again, currently visiting an old friend in Sheffield. Hope you are keeping well and ready for a very Merry Christmas.

Best regards from George and Anita.

I'm all ready for the holiday. I'm sorting through my Martian data and hope to get some good images from it. Hey, I can see Olympus Mons in your image, near the right edge of the disc.

Excellent news regarding Yule preparations and Martian data. Looking forward to seeing your images soon. Yes I thought it was Olympus Mons but I often make mistakes identifying features in the Martian landscape. Merry Christmas Reggie from George and Anita.
