M8 afocal

R26 oldtimer

While observing M8 through my bresser 127L and ES 24/68, I tried to capture it with my huawei p9lite, in order to see if I could reveal any more nebulosity. Phone handheld over the eyepiece(hence the artifacts and trail), 8sec exposure, processed with adobe lightroom on the same smartphone.

Would you mind sharing how you do a long exposure on a smart phone camera?

Depends on the phone, the huawei p9lite has a manual program in camera settings which allows up to 8sec exposure. There is also an android app called open camera, which has manual control over the camera's settings but up to the point where the phone manufacturer allows it, so again is pretty much dependent on the phone. Give it try thought as it's free.
