Craney 3,114 Posted June 12, 2018 I must do more contrasting double stars. This was with a 1000mmFL SW 10" Quattro. Pleasantly pleased that the diffraction spikes came through on the main two stars. Have tried to maintain the colours on processing, but things happen !! in Photoshop. Link to comment
spaceman_spiff 477 Posted June 13, 2018 That really looks nice. I have never tried to image Alberio, would filters (like a UHC) help bring out more colour contrast? Link to comment
Craney 3,114 Posted June 13, 2018 Good question. I probably had a CLS (light pollution filter) on when I took this. Depending on the wavelengths it excludes then some doubles will benefit I guess and others will not. I imagine it is the same for the UHC and Nebulosity filters, depending which wavelengths are transmitted etc... Obviously stacking and a bit of PS can cause many things to happen ? Link to comment
