M16 L Ha G B 1st attempt, heavier bias for luminance frames (85%) resulting in a more even colour balance but less details of the fainter nebula
My first attempt at Ha imaging, along with NGC0896.
Luckily the Eagle nebula shines brightly in Ha, making the task of re-focusing with the Ha filter in place much quicker and more reliable.
The luminance frames were weighted at 85%, reducing the signal contribution brought by the Ha frames, resulting in less apparent nebula (see my second attempt by comparison)
70x50seconds x L Ha G B = 3.8 hours exposure combined
