Various shots taken with my Celestron Evolution Nexstar 9.25 from my back garden in suburban Dublin. Most photos are through Canon 1200d (an old unmodded one and a newer modded one since Jan 2016). I only use the Celestron mount for guiding and assemble shots from 30s and 15s subs with DeepSkyStacker and my own software, often lots of shots.. For the planetary stuff I use a Celestron 5Mb colour camera.
Although this had a good mirror and an undersized secondary, the design compromised contrast due to lack of effective baffling. Went into skip as I had to leave the country & didn't have time to dispose of otherwise !!
I'm starting now to publish my 1st photos of my 2nd imaging year, with a new setup and techique. This setup is totally different from my 1st year. On my 1st year I had fun - and fell in love with Deep space imaging - with a very fast system: C11 Edge HD + Hyperstar @F2. Out of about 70 photos on my 1st year - and for a rookie - I got half a dozen good ones, a few more so-so decent..and the rest quite weak.
NOW IT'S YEAR TWO...AND I HOPE IT RUNS EVEN BETTER
