Smile hello says mbowlesphotography - 8th February 2010, 10:15 PM

Hello Everyone,

My name is Michael, I was recommended to this website as I am a photographer based in London looking for some tips

I am new to astrophotography, and am really looking forward to putting the effort into getting some great images. I have a sound knowledge of photography, however I am mostly a beginner in astronomy, yet am keen to learn!

I am looking to buy a telescope and the neccessary attachements to use with my nikon d3 dslr, budget is around a grand, would appreciate any of your feedback!

Many Thanks,

Hi and welcome to SGL. I don't do imaging either, but there are plenty here who do.

Hello,

Thanks for the replies, have been reading up for a good few hours (when I should be editing photos for work) and there is some great info here, this is what I have absorbed so far:

I need a HEQ5 Syntrek and a ED 80

Have ordered Making Every Photon Count by Steve Richards

Right- back to work, This website is great,

Thanks again
