'Peanut Butter Lid' fine focus knob for SCT

I don't know why the makers of such fine optics as Celestron and Meade can't for the life of them, install a decent focusing-mechanism. But they can't. A peanut-butter lid is a pretty common response. I kid you not! :eek:
 
Here in the US, an engineer sells after-market fits to fix the problems with Meade SCT's - including the focus - or lack thereof:

These work like a charm. If not, I'd have a FeatherTouch, too. This shows yet another 'fix' I use on my LX90.

I don't like peanut butter so have ordered the feather touch from FLO

Makes sense to me, i had the Feather Touch and it did make a real difference, Celstron now supply there latest Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph with a Feather Touch Focuser.....
