1.25INCH TO 2 INCH ADAPTER

Has anyone come across an adapter which will fit 1.25" focusser but take a 2" item. I know this sounds a strange situation but I am not worried about loss of field etc.

Any links to a new item or offers of something second hand would be appreciated

Hi Linton,

You can buy a T-thread to 2" adapter. A lot of the 1.25" focusers have the T-thread built-in, so you could just screw on the 2" adapter if that was the case. I bought one from Bern at Modern Astronomy some time ago, he may still do them.

Or if the focuser didn't have a T-thread, you could make a 1.25" - 2" adapter out of 1.25" T-thread adapter and the T-thread - 2" adapter (if that makes sense?).

Hi - did you get one of these and was it any good? Just looking for this sort of thing myself having been lent a high quality 2" eyepiece that I can't connect!
