First real go at m31

Had a go a while ago with my reflector, this is with the ed80. Still a lot to learn but im really pleased with this.

I'll bet you're pleased. That's great.

I think you could look at your colour balance which is very green-heavy.

In Photoshop, if you use it, or in other graphics programmes, a good colour balance starting point is to look at the histogram in each colour and get the top left of the peak to align in each colour.

Nice one. The green tint is quite easy to correct, as Olly pointed out. Should be a really cracking image once that has been sorted out

Stunning! I would be well happy with that. Some really nice detail going on. You've the same slight issue as me at the moment which is I need to work on the galaxy core which will probably involve some layer masking - as far as I know. It's a tricky balance to strike without blowing out other parts of the image.

Thanks for all the nice comments, I think it was about 40 x 1 min subs but cant quite remember now, I actually stacked the subs about a month ago. Looking forward to these clouds going away so I can get back out there!
