Sun-like Stars?

Do you know of any Sun-like stars I can image? Yes, I know it'll be a dot! It's the imagination that's important!

Sticking my neck out a bit here but Alpha Centauri is our closest G2V star.

HD 162826 is a mag 6.4 star in Hercules with just 15% more mass than the Sun, although that corresponds to a significant difference in luminosity and temperature. Intriguingly it is thought to be a sibling to our Sun, having formed in the same star cluster. It's the same age and appears to have the same composition.

I've got it in mind to look at the nearest match, 18 Scorpii, at some point. Like you, I find it captures my imagination. Looking forwards to seeing your image :-)

The list that was mainly used by colour calibrators is this one - http://www.astropix.com/HTML/I_ASTROP/g2V_sorted_by_con.html

It's listed here by constellation to make it easier to use. If you were imaging in a particular constellation then you'd pick a nearby star to calibrate on.
