Jupiter hit and miss

Just thought I'd pop in briefly. This is my 3rd attempt (1st serious attempt) at Jupiter. The odds were against me last night with conditions and Jupiter being low in the eastern sky. Hoping to do much better in the future.

Single shot, Nikon D3100, ISO 100, 1/250th sec, Skywatcher Pro 150. I did try my 24 single shots of Jupiter in Registax but no go, the end result was no better than a single processed shot.

Cheers Pete, the RGB align setting helped a lot as mentioned and I can now use this feature in future work. My image quality is very poor but I managed to bring out a little more detail but can't seem to push it past my final results below without getting artifacts and noise. Reducing noise reduces detail and trying to get back that detail brings back noise, it's a balancing act.

I'm just happy I managed to capture some detail to work with for the first time  I'll try a video next I think. It seems to be the way to go.

Images below are of 1 single unprocessed shot, the last 2 are the best I can pull out of Registax and Paint.NET.
